Hosted at Amped Obstacles - Grand Prairie, the Amped Obstacle Games are an in-house Ninja Warrior competition designed to give athletes of different ages and experience levels an opportunity to step onto the course and compete. The first course walk-through begins at 8:00 AM at 2626 Aero Dr. in Grand Prairie.
This isn't simply another workout. Once the timer starts, athletes have an opportunity to put their speed, strength, grip, balance, agility, coordination and obstacle skills to the test.
Whether you're already involved in Ninja Warrior, obstacle course racing or functional fitness, you're a young athlete looking for your next challenge, or you've simply wondered what it feels like to compete on an obstacle course, the Amped Obstacle Games were created to give you that experience.
What Are the Amped Obstacle Games?
The Amped Obstacle Games are a local Ninja Warrior-style competition held inside Amped Obstacles in Grand Prairie. This is an in-house competition rather than a professional league competition, which makes it an opportunity for experienced athletes and first-time competitors alike.
Competitors will have the opportunity to take on a timed obstacle course and see how their skills hold up when training turns into competition. Multiple age divisions help create an environment where children, teens and adults can participate.
The event is about competition, but it is also about community. Friends, parents and family members can purchase spectator admission and come cheer athletes on as they tackle the course.
Amped Obstacle Games Age Divisions
The August 23 competition currently includes seven divisions: 7 & Under, 9 & Under, 11 & Under, 13 & Under, 15 & Under, 29 & Under and 30+.
That means this isn't only a kids Ninja Warrior competition. Adults have an opportunity to step onto the course too.
For younger competitors, it can be a first introduction to the excitement of an organized obstacle competition. For experienced Ninjas, it is another chance to test their training.
