UNAA World Championships 2026: Everything You Need to Know About the World's Biggest Ninja Competition
Every year, the best Ninja Warrior athletes from around the globe spend months training for one goal: earning a spot at the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) World Series Finals.
For Season 11, the championship returns bigger than ever.
From July 11 through July 16, 2026, the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, will transform into one of the largest Ninja Warrior competition venues in the world as athletes compete during the Obstacle Sports Expo. The event brings together multiple premier obstacle sport organizations, making it one of the most anticipated weeks in the sport's calendar.
Whether you're an athlete, parent, coach, or fan of Ninja Warrior, here's everything you need to know about the 2026 UNAA World Championships.
What Is the UNAA?
The Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) is one of the largest Ninja Warrior organizations in the world.
Throughout the competitive season, athletes qualify through local ninja gyms and regional competitions before earning invitations to compete at the World Series Finals.
Unlike recreational obstacle courses, UNAA competition rewards a combination of:
Grip strength
Explosive power
Balance
Agility
Body control
Endurance
Precision
Mental focus
Problem-solving under pressure
Every obstacle demands athleticism, confidence, and strategic decision-making.
Where Are the 2026 UNAA World Championships?
The 2026 World Series Finals take place at the:
Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex
2300 N. Cameron Street
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
The competition is held inside the Giant Expo Hall, while additional Obstacle Sports Expo events are hosted throughout the complex, creating one of the largest indoor Ninja Warrior events in North America.
When Are the Championships?
The Obstacle Sports Expo runs from July 11 through July 16, 2026.
The official UNAA competition schedule includes:
July 14
UNAA Preliminary Competition Day One
July 15
UNAA Preliminary Competition Day Two
July 16
UNAA Main Event Finals
WNAG Team Finals
Athletes, families, and spectators can enjoy six days of Ninja Warrior competition and obstacle sports.
Season 11 Introduces Major Rule Changes
One of the biggest stories heading into the 2026 World Championships is the updated competition format.
For the first time, every athlete will complete two preliminary runs before finalists are determined.
Preliminary Run One
Athletes complete a shortened portion of the championship course.
Preliminary Run Two
Athletes then attempt the full championship course.
Rather than advancing based on a single run, scores from both preliminary runs are combined.
The Top 15 athletes or top 30%, whichever is greater, advance to the Main Event Finals.
This new system rewards consistency and gives competitors two opportunities to perform at their best.
Bigger Opportunities for Kids
Season 11 introduces one of the most exciting changes for youth athletes.
Instead of only one championship division, young competitors now have two opportunities to reach the finals.
Elite Kids Finals
The highest-scoring athletes from preliminaries advance to the Elite Kids Championship Finals.
Amateur Kids Finals
From the remaining athletes, the next highest performers advance into a brand-new Amateur Kids Championship Finals.
Awards will be presented to the Top 10 athletes in both divisions.
This expanded format allows significantly more children to experience championship finals while recognizing athletes at multiple competitive levels.
More Qualifying Opportunities Than Ever
UNAA also expanded advancement opportunities throughout the season.
Athletes now have a greater chance of qualifying from Regional Championships into the World Finals, helping more competitors reach the biggest event of the year.
The organization continues to grow both nationally and internationally, with more participating gyms and more athletes qualifying each season.
The Biggest Week in Obstacle Sports
The UNAA World Championships are only one part of the Obstacle Sports Expo.
Additional major events include:
FINA World Championships
USA Ninja World Cup
Ultimate OCR 3K Championship
World Ninja Athlete Games (WNAG) Team Championship
For obstacle sports fans, there may be no better place in the world to watch elite athletes compete.
Professional Course Design
Every championship course has been designed by Silent KNinja, one of the most respected obstacle designers in the Ninja Warrior community.
The event is hosted in partnership with:
Ultimate Ninja Obstacle Gym (New Mexico)
Next Level Ninja
These organizations oversee course management and judging throughout the championships.
A Last-Chance Opportunity for Professionals
Professional athletes who have not yet qualified still have one final opportunity.
On July 12, UNAA hosts a special Pro Invite Competition.
The Top 10 professional men and Top 10 professional women earn invitations into the World Series Finals, creating one final chance to compete for a World Championship.
One of the Largest Prize Pools in Ninja Sports
UNAA continues to offer one of the most substantial prize structures in obstacle sports.
Professional payouts include:
1st Place: $3,000
2nd Place: $1,200
3rd Place: $750
4th Place: $350
5th Place: $200
According to UNAA, the organization has awarded more than $320,000 in prize money across UNAA, WNAG, and Ultimate OCR events over the years, highlighting the continued growth of competitive Ninja Warrior.
What Makes an Elite Ninja Athlete?
Watching elite athletes makes obstacles appear effortless.
Behind every successful run are years of dedicated training.
World-class Ninja athletes spend countless hours developing:
Grip endurance
Pulling strength
Shoulder stability
Core strength
Dynamic balance
Explosive power
Agility
Coordination
Body awareness
Mental resilience
The best competitors combine physical preparation with smart decision-making under pressure.
Why Ninja Warrior Continues to Grow
Ninja Warrior has become one of the fastest-growing youth and adult sports because it combines athletic development with fun.
Unlike repetitive workouts, obstacle training constantly presents new challenges.
Athletes climb.
Swing.
Balance.
Jump.
Problem-solve.
Adapt.
Every obstacle teaches resilience, patience, and confidence.
Research consistently supports that regular physical activity helps improve muscular strength, cardiovascular health, coordination, balance, mental well-being, and long-term health across children and adults.
More Than a Competition
The Obstacle Sports Expo also offers experiences for families attending the event.
Highlights include:
Two-story Air Bag Jump (ages 8+)
Athlete warm-up rigs
Healthy food vendors
Family viewing areas
Athlete swag bags
RV camping
Photo packages
Dedicated spectator areas
The event is designed to create an unforgettable experience for competitors and fans alike.
